Starting the Project

Today will be very similar to yesterday, lots of ideas and discussion. I hope we will get some of the lab work started. There is so much we would like to do!

There are a lot of ideas around the microbial communities in the water column.

I am getting ready to go the ice and collect some samples with my group so we can start to test a few things that we are planning!

We have also started looking at the microbial cells in the sea water that we are keeping at different temperatures in the lab. It’s great to learn new things!

I’m off to the dorm to start reading the paper for tomorrow’s lecture.
